THE HEALTHY BLADDER PROGRAM
The Healthy Bladder Program (HBP) is a specialized protocol for the management of incontinence. It provides you
the ability to screen, diagnose, and treat your patients in your office with evidenced-based modalities that are
non-invasive.
- Screening: we provide you with screening questionnaires that identify the patients that need evaluation and
treatment; patients that may have been too ashamed to bring it up to you. We educate your staff on how to utilize
them efficiently.
- Audit ready templates: our forms provide comprehensive histories and physical examination. They document your
plan of care, justify your procedures performed and ordered. They streamline your decision making process so that
you can provide comprehensive care without interfering with office flow. These templates will integrate seamlessly
into your medical records.
- Urodynamics: after identifying at risk patients, you will refer them to urodynamics which allows complete
evaluation of the patient’s bladder function including filling, storage, and voiding. It will also assess
urethral function and neurological reflex patterns. A report will be provided to you the same day allowing you
to have the confidence to know that you are treating the patient’s true problem.
- Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation: after reviewing the urodynamics results with your patient you can offer all
treatment options. Most will choose PFR, which is physical therapy for the pelvis. This will be provided by
our trained nursing staff to enhance the patient’s musculature responsible for continence. Education
will be provided to them, as well as exercise prescriptions and home exercise programs. Studies have demonstrated
up to 85% improvement with this non-invasive choice. Your patients will appreciate receiving this specialized
care in an office setting they are familiar with.
